Last Saturday, our family participated in our 6th Heartwalk for the American Heart Association in Land Park. Casey has grown to love this event for many reasons;
1. His friends are there, friends that have scars like him
2. He loves feeling like he's accomplished "the walk"...this year he wanted to run!
3. The KidZone, which increasingly acknowledges that the youngest humans are also victims of heart problems, and they deserve to have fun too!
4. The enthusiasm, cheering and music, which he might just think is just for him :)!
THANK YOU so much to all that supported him, and continue to support him. It's not just the money he raised, it's also the love and care that you all carry in your eyes, words, and actions that prove you are just as proud of his life as we are!
We will hope and pray that he will participate in the Heartwalk for numerous decades to come!!

Loved reading your updated blog and seeing the pics. Our family prays for decades more walks for Casey, too. Thinking of you all.
