Yep, that's really our house. And that's really a fork-lift helping my hubby put up lights. What started out as a beautiful Winter Saturday in Nor Cal turned into a scene from a Griswald's movie! Mike has been so busy and out of town that he finally had a chance to put up our outdoor decorations. My job was to hang out inside and clean the house for his family to arrive for a b-day party.
He started at 10am. By 12pm our neighbor came over and decided they needed cigars while doing this task. At 1pm I went to the gym. By the time I returned, my husband had gotten "stuck" on the top story because the ladder was too steep and he couldn't get back on it! Then, said male neighbor went over the the hard-working home builders who were working on the lot behind us and convinced them to come over with their forklift in exchange for something my husband makes a living doing. I was only gone for an hour and 15 minutes!
Sure enough, in the early evening, the wonderful men drove the forklift down the street. Mike nd his helper had screws put in and lights hung in a matter of 20 minutes. And NOW, all the men in the neighborhood want to make it an annual event....I fold!

I am so glad that Mike made it off of your house safe and sound...it scared me to death! Please don't feel the pressure to top this next year.
That is hilarious! Can I live in your neighborhood? Our Christmas lights are very sub-par and we could really use a fork lift.
Hilarious Gina! Your stories never disappoint!
